Budafest 2007

It doesn't seem possible but it time to begin working on Budafest 2007.  Check back to this site often for updates.

Don't worry girls, Santa has promised us that he will have Prancer back on his feet in no time.

Budafest goes from 10 A.M. till dusk (about 5:30) both days. There is no entry fee. Parking is plentiful in the lot behind the park pavilion, just follow the signs and pay a small fee to Project Graduation. For directions please press the "Map to Budafest" button. For more information call (512) 694-3413.

Here is an important update concerning the Parade: Do to parking / road construction, this year the parade will line up and start at the City Park on Garison Road.  This year we will also have Buda's very own police force to help direct everything.  Please contact Dan Stober at 295-6853 if you have any questions.

Senior Citizens Quilt:  Please see our vendors page for a look at an example of the wonderful handmade quilt which will be raffled during Budafest.  All proceeds from this raffle benefit our Buda Senior Citizens Center.  A wonderful cause indeed.

IN MEMORIAL: The Budafest committee and many fellow Northern Hays County citizens were greatly saddened by the passing of one of our original Budafest members, Barbara Younts.  Barbara and her family's ties to the area date back to mid 1800s.  For many years her and her late husband, Earle, were active in the Buda United Methodist Church, the Buda Senior Citizens, the Northern Hays County Historical Society, and of course Budafest.  Her energy, charm, and wonderful sense of humor are greatly missed by all of us.

The Budafest Committee:

Budafest is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization. This annual festival, which is held the first full weekend of December, is organized by community volunteers. All proceeds from Budafest are distributed to further the common good and general welfare of the people of the community. These distributions are made in the form of scholarships and monetary gifts to area 501(c) organizations. In addition, all food vendors and many craft vendors are local nonprofit organizations.
